In order to strengthen ties with the region and monitor the cooperation agreements signed, the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, will launch a tour Monday for Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Colombia.

This was confirmed on Sunday by the Venezuelan president in his program Alo Presidente N º 373, which explained that the cities will be visiting Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Cochabamba, Cartagena de Indias.

In Argentina, President Chávez with his counterpart, Cristina Fernandez, review trade agreements mainly aimed at energy, food, trade and tourism, fundamental axes of cooperation between Caracas and Buenos Aires on the agenda for 2011.

Argentina's Foreign Ministry announced that Chavez Fernandez receive the Casa Rosada (government headquarters) to hold an extended meeting attended by cabinet ministers from both countries, and in which the foreign ministers of Argentina, Hector Timmerman, and Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, presented the achievements of the Third High-level Binational Commission.
